POLICY & VALUES
In my conversations with neighbors, one overarching theme has risen to the top: We all want the best for Broomfield. Most of us truly love this place we call home and want assurance that we are on a path to thrive in the coming years.

Broomfield is doing a lot of things right and we also have a lot of opportunities for improvement. The 2025 Community Survey continued the trend of showing that residents feel they are receiving high-quality municipal services. We also highly value our recreational amenities, though I'm sure it's no surprise to you that we love our open spaces, trails, and parks! As I've studied the survey results over time, the question that has come to mind for me is, "Who is Broomfield?" With more people living in Broomfield than ever before, I think we will need to grapple with that question if we are to implement programs and policy that serve the needs of all. We can't do this without you! Our local government needs to understand your concerns, challenges, and hopes for Broomfield. I would be thrilled if you visit my 'Suggestion Box' and let me know what's on your mind and maybe together we can work to advocate for these issues over the next 4 years.

As a seasoned leader, I am no stranger to difficult decisions. I know you can never please everybody, though with dedication, a lot of conversations, and out-of-the-box thinking, compromise is possible. I will be a stalwart champion for you and ask a lot of questions along the way to encourage careful consideration of the risks and trade-offs now and for the future.
